Jerry Franklin Harkins, Sr., 76, passed away suddenly on Friday, February 11, 2022 at the Mississippi Baptist Memorial Medical Center Yazoo. A retired insurance adjuster, he was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Yazoo City.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
;Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Claudine Ward Harkins of Benton, daughter, Renee’ Harkins Erickson (Kevin) of Flora; sons, Jerry Franklin Harkins, Jr., of Benton, and Brian Michael Harkins of Starkville; three grandsons, Jeremy Erickson (Shelby) of Nesbit, Adam Erickson of Flowood, and Brandon Harkins of Corinth; two great grandsons, Charlie James Erickson and Henry Ryan Erickson of Nesbit.
Services will be held on Monday, February 14, at Calvary Baptist Church in Yazoo City. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. and funeral service at 11:00, Burial afterwards in Glenwood Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Stricklin King Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Erickson, Adam Erickson , Brandon Harkins, Wallace Street,Chris Alias, and Jeff Woods.
