James Vardaman Clements, 95, of Jackson, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at The Brookdale Retirement Facility in Jackson.
A veteran of the U. S. Army Dixie Division serving in Korea, Clements was a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of First Baptist Church in Raymond and had also been employed as a Mechanic at Delta Implement in Rolling Fork and Vantrow Oldsmobile in Jackson.
Survivors include his daughters, Patsy Clements (E. P.) Smith of Biloxi, and Janie Clements (Patrick) Pickle of Rolling Fork; son, Jimmy (Pat) Clements of Pearl; grandchildren, Chris Clark, Caren Clark, Jay Pickle, Bubba (Eva) Pickle, Brad Clements, and Paul Smith; and great grandchildren, Colbey and Carlie Clark, J. P. (Courtney) Pickle, Jacy Reid Pickle, Liam, Nolan, and Peyton Pickle
Mr. Clements was preceded in death by his parents, Carl M.and Birdle Boyd Clements; brothers, Carl, Jr and Bruce Clements; sister, Birdie Clements Barnett; and a son, James Jonathan Clements.
Funeral services were held on March 17 at Stricklin King Funeral Home in Yazoo City at noon, followed by graveside services at in Glenwood Cemetery. Rev. Mark Strum officiated.
Serving as pallbearers were Patrick Pickle, Jay Pickle, J. P. Pickle, Bubba Pickle, Liam Pickle, and Brad Clements.
