Doris Counts King, 91, of Yazoo City, passed away on May 27, 2024 at St. Dominic Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held on May 30 at 2 p.m. at Midway Baptist Church with Rev. Jessie Byrd officiating. Burial will follow at Midway Baptist Cemetery under the direction of Stricklin King Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from noon until 1:30 p.m. on the day of the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. King was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil King; son, Rex King; two brothers, Shelby Counts and Donald Counts; and sister, Opal Hilderbrand.
Survivors include her two daughters, Carmen (Rand) Tyson of Yazoo City, and Connie (Danny) Smith of Benton; son, Wayne (Angie) King of Benton; sister, Vivian Holland of Yazoo City; two brothers, David Counts of Wayside and Leroy Counts of Florence; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Don Douglas, Daniel Smith, Hayes Tyson, Danny Smith, Rand Tyson and Jamie Holland.
