Charlie Logan Jr., 70, of Dayton, Ohio, formerly of Bentonia, departed this life on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016.
Mr. Logan was born Dec. 22, 1945 in Bentonia to the late Charlie Logan Sr. and Denotra Logan. He was a graduate of Linwood High School in Vaughan and attended Tougaloo College.
He moved to Chicago and worked for 13 years at American National Can Co. He ended his working career at Consolidated Freight in Jackson as a long distance semi truck driver.
Charlie served honorably in the U.S. Army on both domestic and European fronts. He was a devoted Christian all of his life.
He was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Logan; sister, Dr. Dorothy Alexander; his father and grandparents.
Survivors include five children, Sonya Crawford, Tonya McCoy (Adam), Titus and Allison Logan and Dr. Dovilan Wyatt (Patrick); four grandchildren, his mother, Denotra Logan; three sisters, Joyce Pannell, Glenda Kee (Ivan) and Geraldine Bell; two brothers, Melvin Logan (Alice) and Stanley Logan; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
