Bert McDaniel, Sr., 81 of Yazoo City, passed away at his residence on Wednesday February 2, 2022. Beat 1 Road Foreman for the Yazoo County Road Department, he was a member of Short Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Melissa H. McDaniel; son, Bert McDaniel, Jr. of Benton; daughters, Sue Ann White of Yazoo City, and Rita Fay (Steve) Floyd of Brandon; six grandchildren; 7seven great grandchildren; brother, Charles McDaniel of Sharon; sisters, Dot White of Bentonia, and Lola Marie Hoffman of College Station, TX.
Bert was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret McDaniel; four brothers; and a sister.
Services will be conducted at Stricklin King Funeral Home in Yazoo City on Saturday, February 6, with visitation starting at 12:30 P.M. followed by his funeral service at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Bill Hutto officiating. Internment will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Corey Outlaw, Jay Milner, Brandon Quinn, Brian White, Timmy McDaniel, and Diddio McDaniel.
Honorary pallbearers are Dean Sartin, AL Blackwell, and George Twiner
