Yazoo City businesses are gearing up for the upcoming holiday season by participating in the Christmas Open House, an event sponsored by the Yazoo County Chamber of Commerce.
Chamber Director Kiristi Mills said that shopping locally helps raise tax revenue, creates more jobs, promotes inner-city growth, creates more pride in your hometown, and connects you to business persons in your community.
"Since we love our city, I say, keep your money where your heart is, and shop local," Mills added.
Christmas Open House will take place on Sunday, November 1, from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
