A suspect has been arrested after a Yazoo City woman was found murdered at Oakhaven Apartments Tuesday morning.
Keandra Williams, 33, of Swayze Street in Yazoo City was found dead from a gunshot wound in the driver’s seat of her vehicle in the parking lot of the apartment complex.
Yazoo County deputies arrived on the scene around 4 a.m. Oakhaven Apartments are located just outside the city limits on Shady Drive.
Yazoo County Coroner Ricky Shivers said paramedics with Pafford Ambulance Service pronounced Williams dead on the scene.
Sheriff Jake Sheriff said a suspect was arrested later Tuesday morning. Because he had not been charged by press time Tuesday morning, the suspect’s identity was not released.
The sheriff’s department and Shivers are continuing to investigate the case.
