The special election for city’s Ward 4 alderman post will be held Monday with six candidates appearing on the ballot.
The city council post has remained vacant since the death of Alderman Aubry Brent Jr. last September.
Candidates include Denise Brent, Joe Freeman, Gary Haymer, Johnny Staples, Elizabeth Thomas and Joffree Washington.
A runoff election, if necessary, will be held on Monday, December 9, 2019.
