A convicted felon found with a weapon and drugs landed in jail this week.
Derrick Booker was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Terry Gann, chief investigator with the Yazoo County Sheriff's Department, said Booker was a suspect in a shooting that investigators believe started in Shady Lane.
"We assisted the police department in this case and arrested Booker in connection with this," Gann said. "In the course of arresting him, we found a gun, marijuana and cocaine."
