The Mississippi Writers Guild (a non-profit organization serving writers and aspiring writers) will be holding its first meeting for the Yazoo City Chapter at the Ricks Memorial Library on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015 from 9-11 a.m.
The meeting is free and will be open to the general public, There is no requirement to attend. The Yazoo Chapter will meet on the first Saturday of every month, beginning in December to network with other writers, plan special programs, and hold workshops.
The Yazoo Chapter is also excited to announce a new program-The Write Girls Club, which helps young girls focus on improving their reading and writing skills.
Spring Registration for The Write Girls Club will also be held at Ricks Memorial Library on Saturday, Nov. 21 from 9:30am to 11:30am.
