A Yazoo County man was sentenced to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to Aggravated Driving Under the Influence in a 2014 head-on collision that killed an Arkansas man.
Allen Ben Neal, 55, of 370 Honeycutt Rd., entered a guilty plea earlier this month in connection to a wreck that occurred on Dec. 15, 2014 in Yazoo County, which killed Justin D. Harrell, of Sherwood, Ark.
Harrell, who was driving to a job assignment, left behind a wife, Becca, and two children, Christian, 8, and Lainey, 6
In a petition to enter a plea of guilty filed on Dec. 9, 2016, Neal said he was “operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of Alprazolam (Xanax).”
Neal was sentenced to 20 years. With 10 years suspended, Neal will serve 10 years. He will also have five years of supervised probation and five years of unsupervised probation.
