A Yazoo City man says he hopes his life can return to normal after a grand jury determined that the evidence did not support charges of kidnapping and rape that he was facing.
Dale Meek said he was relieved when a Yazoo County grand jury ruled that there was no cause to indict him on charges from October 2019.
Meek said those charges cost him his job and damaged his reputation.
“I’m certainly not perfect, but anyone who really knows me knows that I would never do something like that,” Meek said. “This caused me a lot of hardship because a lot of people around here assume that you’re guilty until proven innocent.”
