Let’s put our passion to good work on The Longest Day. This is an event to honor those who face Alzheimer’s disease with strength, heart and endurance. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc is proud to join forces with the Alzheimer's Association® to raise awareness of Alzheimer's disease risk factors, diagnosis, care, and advocacy, among the African-American community. AKA has designated the Alzheimer's Association The Longest Day® as a Community Impact Day and the theme is "AKA-cise the mind and body."
Please join the ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Omega Beta Omega Chapter on June 18, 2016 from 7am-12pm at Yazoo City High School for a colorful 5K Run. Wear your whitest running clothes and get ready to be showered with several colors of powdered paint as you navigate the course. You have the option to run or walk the course once, twice, or even three times to show off your athletic prowess. You’ll get blasted and have more color on you than you can handle! So get your friends and family, make a team and be apart of an this amazing color blast event.
