Chief Jeff Curtis joins the executive board of the Mississippi Association of Chiefs of Police.
Curtis was elected vice president of the central district during the association’s annual conference last week.
“This is such an honor because I was voted in by my peers within Mississippi,” Curtis said. “There were close to 250 chiefs present at the conference. It was an honor to even be nominated.”
The association promotes professionalism, proactive training and educational programs among all law enforcement officers within the state.
Curtis said he was extremely proud to be on the incoming executive board.
“This also represents Yazoo City with having a chief on the association’s board,” he said. “I look forward to what the year will bring.”
