A convicted felon is back behind bars after being charged with shooting at someone with a stolen gun.
Chief Ronald Sampson said both suspects were quickly taken into custody and charged.
Bobby McGee, 21, was charged with aggravated assault, possession of a stolen weapon and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
"Officers were dispatched to an incident on Gordon Avenue where an altercation was occurring," Sampson said. "McGee was arrested and charged after it was discovered that he fired gunshots at the victim during the altercation."
Sampson said no injuries were reported, and it was later discovered that the gun McGee allegedly used was stolen.
In an unrelated incident a suspect was charged with choking a victim during a domestic dispute.
Dasia Doby was charged with aggravated assault after the victim reported being choked during the alleged incident.
In other arrest news, Dale Meeks was charged with burglary of an occupied dwelling after he allegedly broke into a home on Summerhaven Street.
Sampson said that residents need to be particularly cautious during this time of the year and report any suspicious activity in their neighborhoods.
