Investigators were quickly able to make an arrest and recover all the stolen items from a local business burglary.
Ronnie Parker was charged with commercial burglary after he allegedly broke into P’Reaux’s on Broadway.
“He stole a fish cooker and other equipment,” said Cpt. William Nevels, with the Yazoo City Police Department. “We were able to identify him through video surveillance, and he was arrested at a store across town.”
Nevels said Parker admitted to selling the stolen items, leading investigators to recover all those pieces.
In other police news, two suspects in two separate drug cases were arrested this week.
Katoni Grant was charged with possession of crystal meth after he was noticed by an officer at a local store. Grant had a warrant for his arrest, and drugs were discovered on him after he was apprehended by officers.
Crystal Pickett was also charged with possession of crystal meth after officers discovered her in possession following an improper parking traffic citation.
