One alderman says he understands having a secure school, but he would like to see a different method implemented in searching students.
During Mondays’ Board of Mayor and Aldermen meeting, Ward 4 Alderman Aubry Brent Jr. said he noticed teachers patting students down before they entered Woolfolk Middle School.

Brent suggested the school purchasing metal detector wands to use in searching the students.
“I would consider getting a wand to wave around the child,” Brent said. One alderman says he understands having a secure school, but he would like to see a different method implemented in searching students.
