NATIONAL SUMMARY
Isolated showers and thunderstorms are expected over a broad
swath of the Atlantic and Gulf coasts tomorrow, stretching
from the mid-Atlantic to South Texas. While these storms are
unlikely to turn severe, heavy rainfall is possible for
short periods of time. In locations in the South where
recent heavy rainfall has occurred, localized flash flooding
cannot be ruled out. Additional storms are likely to develop
in portions of the Midwest, stretching from northeastern
Kansas to northern Minnesota. At least a few of these storms
may turn severe, with hail and damaging wind gusts as the
primary threats. Typical monsoon showers and thunderstorms
are expected in the Southwest states, with warm weather
across the northern Plains.
