The Nation's Weather for Wednesday, April 9, 2025
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Showers will spread from Minnesota to Ohio today as a weak
storm tracks over the Upper Midwest. Some steadier rain is
likely over portions of Illinois and Indiana. Some snow may
mix with rain at times in southern Michigan. With the
exception of a morning snow shower in upstate New York, much
of the rest of the East will be dry today with a slight
warming trend for most; however, temperatures will remain
below the historical average for early April. In the West, a
zone of high pressure will continue to promote warm and dry
conditions in the Southwest, while there can be a spotty
shower or two in portions of Idaho and Montana. Gusty winds
and dry weather may lead to an elevated risk of wildfires in
eastern Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska and South Dakota.
