NATIONAL SUMMARY
Showers will continue across the mid-Atlantic, eastern Great
Lakes and the Tennessee and Ohio valleys tomorrow. In
Virginia, heavy downpours can lead to localized flooding.
Spotty afternoon thunderstorms will rumble across the
Florida Peninsula. Meanwhile, a storm moving into the
Pacific Northwest will spread cool air into Washington.
Baking heat will continue across the Southwest and expand
back into Oregon, Idaho and Wyoming. Many places can break
daily record-high temperatures. It will be cool along the
California coast with patchy fog to start the day. In the
Plains it will be breezy and very dry. There will be an
elevated fire danger across the northern Plains and the
eastern Rockies. In New England, dry and sunny weather will
persist. It will be sunny, hot and humid in Texas.
