NATIONAL SUMMARY
Afternoon thunderstorms with locally gusty winds and small
hail will rumble from Lower Michigan to southern New England
tomorrow. Heavy rain is expected to accompany thunderstorms
from eastern South Dakota to central Wisconsin. While
widespread severe weather is not expected, the strongest
thunderstorms in eastern Utah and western Colorado can bring
flash flooding and localized damaging wind gusts. Elsewhere
in the Rockies, less organized, spotty afternoon
thundershowers will occur. A couple of showers and
thunderstorms will continue in South Texas with moisture
left over from Tropical Storm Alberto. Tropical moisture
will also stream into the Florida Peninsula, with mainly
spotty activity. Another day of scorching heat will bake the
Ohio Valley and mid-Atlantic.
