NATIONAL SUMMARY
An area of showers and thunderstorms will move across
eastern areas of the Midwest and into the Northeast
tomorrow. Some storms can turn severe and bring a flooding
threat along with localized damaging wind gusts and even
hail. Along with those storms, the Northeast will also
remain abnormally hot for this time of year. Spotty
thunderstorms will also stretch southward into parts of the
Southeast. Another pocket of localized thunderstorms will
erupt over parts of southeastern South Dakota and
northeastern Nebraska. Although isolated in nature, these
storms can bring localized damaging wind gusts and heavy
downpours. Texas will remain hotter than the historical
average, while much of the Southwest continues to stay
rain-free.
