Sarah Elizabeth Hardy and Malcolm Taylor Thompson were united in marriage on January 4, 2025 at the First Baptist Church of Cleveland. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by Shannon Davis, the bride’s uncle.
The bride is the daughter of Shane and Melanie Hardy of Bentonia. She is the granddaughter of Richard and Mary Davis of Benton; Red Homsley and the late Sandra Homsley of Anniston, Ala.; and the late Troy and Sarah Hardy of Oxford, Ala.
The groom is the son of Maria Thompson of Louisville; and Jason Thompson of Philadelphia. He is the grandson of Dan and Ingrid Thompson of Louisville; and Sharon and the late Tommy McKinley of Louisville.
The bride was escorted by her father, Shane Hardy.
The bride wore a drop waist ball gown designed by Essence of Australia from their couture line in the color ivory.
Mary Christian Sweatt served as the Maid of Honor with Kalyn Jones and Mauri Beth Nealas the Matrons of Honor. Bridesmaids included Mary Mckenzie Pierce, Ana Posey Rogers, Jakalyn Brown, Heidi Ball, Madison Williamson and Mary Grace Warrington. Junior bridesmaids were Lili Grace McKinley, Brylee Davis and Eden Davis.
Flower girls were Mary Mobley Alford, Birdie Alford, Winnie Alford and Karsyn Thompson.
Will Thompson, the groom’s brother, served as the Best Man. Groomsmen included Evan Willis, Cody Prescott, Jacob McCaskill, John Mark Wallace, Brayden Peters, Dakota Hill and Nick Stewart.
Ringbearers were Sawyer Alford and Kooper Thompson.
Soloist was Shannon Prescott.
The reception was held at The Gin in Cleveland.
The couple honeymooned to Cancun, Mexico before returning home at Noxapater, where the groom is the Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator at Huber Engineered Woods in Shuqualak.
