On this particular day, I was in a hurry. I needed to be at a certain place soon or I was going to be late. The train that was blocking my path had just triggered the lights, and it had three engines.
If you are in a hurry, that is a bad sign. I started counting the cars. Something distracted me when I reached 112. Then I began looking to see what was being pulled by this extremely long train.
Car after car was filled with coal, that dirty fossil fuel that produces a large portion of the electricity we consume each day.
When Joe Biden declared war on “climate change,” he simultaneously declared war on coal. If you live in a state that produces coal, well, the war is coming to your town soon. Joe is going to shut down the mines and instead, substitute wind turbines and solar panels to produce the nation’s electricity.
The Keystone Pipeline is history, thanks to Ole Joe. Some analysts believe that this will cost the nation the loss of over 1,000,000 jobs. But Joe plunges on. John Kerry, a Boston blue blood and extremely wealthy man, has been enlisted to win the war on “climate change.” The Vice-President, Kamala Harris, is leading a battalion against what she has defined as the most significant risk to our planet in the history of the planet. She even went to West Virginia, a coal producing state, and declared that jobs could be saved by “doing land mine reclamation.”
What? I never knew that West Virginia had “land mines,” yet this is an area that the new administration is targeting. The Biden administration is proposing $1.7 trillion dollars to make West Virginia, and other coal producing states, a welfare state.
What is clear to me is that we have people working in the coal mines and on the Keystone Pipeline who voted for Joe Biden. Yet now that he is doing exactly what he said he was going to do, they seemed totally unaware of his campaign promises.
Over and over he promised to shut down the coal mines, but apparently, some folks whose job depends on the mining industry did not hear him. Over and over, he promised to shut down the Keystone Pipeline, yet thousands of people who make their living working on this project did not hear him make this promise, and voted for him anyway.
Illegal aliens will be allowed to flow freely across our southern border, and many citizens who oppose this change claim they never heard Biden make this promise. They voted for him even though he was plainly saying that the border would be opened up to illegal aliens. Those in custody now must be turned loose - in our country - no matter if they have a criminal history.
I overheard some Republicans talking, and their theme was a simple one: “Wait to 2022, and we will take back the House and Senate.” I shook my head and muttered under my breath, “no you won’t.”
In my lifetime, we have had only one person who represented the middle class and middle class values, and that person was Donald Trump. He saw the need for a strong middle class that had opportunities available to make the people self-sufficient. No longer would they need welfare and other social programs because they would be able to provide for themselves. Biden is crushing that philosophy with every “Executive Order” he signs. Instead of allowing America to evolve into a country less dependent on fossil fuels, he is forcing the country to follow his dictates even though the technology to implement his energy plans will not be available for years. But Biden and the Democrat Party no longer need the middle class to win elections. They have the rich “elites” and the very poor supporting them, and the middle class is there only to pay the bills.
I watched that coal train make its way south carrying tons of clean coal to an electrical plant somewhere, and I realized that soon this train would have no purpose. No coal, no train. No train, no jobs. But Joe has won his first battle against “climate change,” and the middle class supplied the soldiers who fought the battle and became dirt poor. What a shame!
