Barry Clark Saxton Sr., 68 of Benton passed away Thursday, January 28, 2021 at The University of Mississippi Medical Center.
Mr. Saxton was born Jan. 27, 1953 in Yazoo County to Wilson and Lessie Ward Saxton. He was an equipment operator with the Corp of Engineers and a member of Parkview Church of God.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Hutchinson Saxton; sons, Barry Clark Saxton Jr. of Benton and Timothy Reid Saxton of Redwood; five grandchildren; brothers; Kenny (Ida) Saxton of Benton, and Robbie (Brenda) Saxton of Clinton, sisters; Annie Eldridge of Clinton, Janice (Doug) Kirk of Yazoo City, and Kathy Walker of Flowood, and a sister-in-law Cindi (Mark) Jenkins of Carthage, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Barry was preceded in death by his brothers; Fred Saxton, Terry Saxton and George Robert Saxton; and sisters; Evie Neely and Betty Potter.
Memorial services will be held Friday, February 5 at Parkview Church of God on Highway 16E, Yazoo City with visitation starting at 10 a.m. followed by services at 11 a.m. under the direction of Stricklin King Funeral Home. Rev. Ken Lynch officiating.
