Trey and Dana Shipp, of Benton, announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Miss Vivian Lake Shipp, to Wesley Wilson Neely, the son of Brian and the late Jennifer Turner Neely, of Greenwood.
The bride elect is the granddaughter of the late Billy and Jeanette Neely and Jimmy and Mary Sue Shipp, all of Benton.
Miss Shipp is a 2017 graduate of Benton Academy and earned her Associate’s Degree from Holmes Community College in 2019. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Mississippi State University in 2021.
She currently teaches ninth grade Algebra 1 at Sumner Hill Junior High School in Clinton.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Shirley and the late James Turner of Pontotoc, and Rebecca and the late Robert Neely of Greenwood.
He is a 2016 graduate of Tri-County Academy and earned his Associate’s Degree from East Mississippi Community College in 2018. He also earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Mississippi State University in 2020 and his Master’s Degree from Mississippi State University in 2022.
He is a member of the Belzoni Rotary Club and is currently employed as the Portfolio Manager at Guaranty Bank and Trust in Belzoni, Mississippi.
The couple will be married on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. in the evening at Sterling Hall in Canton. The ceremony will be officiated by Dr. Dwayne Parker, Director of Discipleship at the Mississippi Baptist Convention Board.
The reception will follow after the ceremony at Sterling Hall.
