The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks (MDWFP) has announced amendments to the MDWFP state lake permit and fee structure that went into effect February 18, 2025.
The changes to State Lake permits will apply to fishing and boating at MDWFP State Fishing Lakes and State Park Lakes. Changes to State Fishing Lake camping and pavilion rental fees will also take effect. However, in an effort to simplify and moderate the fee structure, some permits have been combined.
MDWFP operates 18 State Fishing Lakes and 21 State Park Lakes that offer fishing and boating opportunities for visitors to enjoy. Notices have been posted at State Fishing Lake offices to inform customers of fee changes, and this information is also available at www.mdwfp.com.
