Manchester opened the playoffs with a familiar opponent this past Friday night in the Calhoun Academy Cougars.
The Mavs just defeated the Cougars 56-14 to close the regular season and picked up where they left off, defeating the Cougars 48-0 in round one of the postseason.
“We were proud of our kids with the way they came out and played with focus. We have a tough challenge on the road at North Sunflower,” said MA head coach Bryan Dendy.
Reed Roberts completed 7-of-8 passes for 111 yards and a TD.
Tobias McGee was the leading rusher with 73 yards and a TD and Kemp Black led the receivers with two receptions for 57 yards.
Jake White and Sam Bunch each had six tackles.
