Manchester Academy has won its last four games with three decisive wins over Greenville Christian and a 7-6 victory in a showdown with Kirk Academy.
The Mavericks are now 22-6 overall on the season.
Manchester Academy 17, Greenville Christian 2
An 11-run third inning helped the Mavericks earn a big win over Greenville Christian in the first of a three-game series.
Jack Miller earned the win for MA as the starting pitcher. Miller struck out six batters while only allowing two hits over three innings.
Miller also led the Mavericks at the plate with two RBIs.
Wrigley Richardson, Grant Nixon and Jon Parker Dees each had hits for the Mavericks. Hayden Austin, Richardson, Nixon and Dees each stole multiple bases in the game.
Manchester Academy 11, Greenville Christian 1
Game two was another convincing win for MA with Austin earning the win. Austin gave up just one hit and an unearned run over five innings of work while striking out eight batters with just one walk.
The Mavericks racked up 10 hits in the game with Jake Louis Paul going 2-for-4 to lead the team.
Joseph Beidleman and Austin had two RBI each.
Manchester Academy 16, Greenville Christian 2
Austin drove in four runs to help Manchester Academy secure the series sweep and a third decisive win over the Saints.
Austin had a triple in the fifth inning that scored three runs.
Beidleman earned the win for MA, striking out nine batters and giving up just one hit in the game. Dees backed him up with a scoreless inning of relief.
Brody Roberts had a hit and three RBI for MA. Nixon and Dees each had a hit and an RBI to help secure the win. Miller and Beidleman also had hits.
The Mavericks will travel to Greenville to take on St. Joseph on Thursday.
