The Manchester Academy softball season came to an end over the weekend at the MAIS Academy 2A State Tournament.
The Lady Mavs opened the tournament with a loss to Prairie View before bouncing back to defeat Clairborne Academy, 14-12.
The season would come to an end in the next game, however, a loss to Tunica.
Lizzy Carpenter was 3-for-7 on the day with two singles, a triple and four RBI.
Presley Trammell and Ana Lee Whitworth each batted 3-for-7 also with Trammell notching three RBI and two stolen bases.
Molly McBride was 2-for-7 with three RBI and Zoie Baker had two hits and two RBI.
On the mound for the Lady Mavericks, Baker went 1-2 on the day, picking up the win over Clairborne Academy and the two losses to Prairie View and Tunica.
