Yazoo County track stars Karime Coronado, Alycia McCree, and Emmanuel Moore each brought home first place medals from the MHSAA Class 3A State Track Championships held at Pearl High School over the weekend.
Coronado won first place in the triple jump and third place in the long jump. McCree was first place in the discus and second place in shot put, and Moore won first place in the long jump and fifth place in the 200 meter dash.
Other Yazoo County finishers were:
• Jacari Watson - fifth place in the shot put.
• Jamariah Barton - seventh place in the 100 meter dash.
• Barton, Karime Coronado, Karla Coronado, Mary Jones - third place in the 4 x 100 meter relay
