The Yazoo County Lady Panthers Powerlifting team competed in the North State powerlifting meet February 23, at Mantachie High School and finished 4th overall as a team. Individual winners were: Elizabeth Solano, 1st place; Lanyia Ball, 2nd place; Ranesha Davis, 2nd place; Ashley Russell, 2nd place; Makhari Stiff, 3rd place; Amiya Williams, 4th place; J'Kayliah Williams, 4th place; Jasmine Brookins, 8th place; Racheal Hobson, 4th place; Neavia Session, 7th place. Solano, Ball, Davis, Russell, and Stiff advanced to the State Championships April 1 at the Mississippi Coliseum at 11:00 a.m.
