A hunting accident over the weekend left one man being airlifted from Highway 3 for medical treatment.
Terry Gann, chief deputy with the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Department, said an accident was reported in the Tinsley area on Highway 3 last Friday.
“A man was hunting, and his four-wheeler flipped over on top of him,” Gann said. “He had some serious injuries, and we had to search and locate him. Using my four-wheel drive, we were able to reach him, loaded him on a backboard and got him to the highway for the ambulance.”
Gann said the hunter then had to be airlifted near the scene to receive medical treatment.
As of press time, Gann said the hunter was in stable condition.
