The Manchester Academy Mavericks welcomed powerful Greenville Christian to town last Friday night and despite one of their better offensive showings of the season, still found themselves on the losing end of the ledger in a 42-21 defeat.
Quarterback Brendan Thrasher had his best game of the season, completing 14-of-22 passes for 171 yards and a touchdown.
Jack Miller was Thrasher’s primary target against the Saints with seven receptions for 113 yards and one TD.
Adam Edgar caught one pass for 39 yards, Ethan White had three receptions for 27 yards, and Joseph Beidleman had one catch for two yards.
Jake White led the ground attack with 85 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries.
Beidleman had four yards on three carries and Ethan White and Thrasher each had one yard rushing.
Defensively, Sam Bunch’s six tackles were a team-high, followed by Micah Guttery with five, Jake White with four, Ethan White with three, Miller and Beidleman with two apiece and Thrasher, Owen Pillow and Thomas Kalahar each with one.
Manchester travels to St. Joe this Friday.
