Recently, the River Road Garden Clubs held the Spring District Meeting at Greenville Country Club, hosted by Greenville Garden Club and Junior Greenville Garden Club. Lintonia Garden Club is a member of National Garden Clubs Inc., Deep South Garden Clubs, River Road District in Garden Clubs of Mississippi.
The meeting was called to order by Stephanie Patton, District Director. The program was given by ladies from Greenville Garden Club. They shared the wonders of Cypress Preserves. There are many interesting aspects to this place. There are cypress trees, trails, wildflowers, birds, forest animals, etc. There is also lots of history spread throughout the Preserve.
The meeting was attended by three members of Lintonia Club, including Pat Ellis, G.G. Mathews and Elouise Upchurch. A total of 70 ladies were present.
The Fall District Meeting will be Thursday, Sept. 25, in Yazoo City.
