Joey and Barbara are celebrating a remarkable milestone this week with their 50th wedding anniversary.
The couple was married on June 28, 1975, at 2 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church in Leland, Mississippi. Over the past five decades, their journey has been marked by faith, family, and deep roots in their Mississippi community.
After starting their family in Greenville, Joey and Barbara moved to Yazoo City on December 31, 1988, with their two sons, Joey Jr. and Michael. Their youngest son, Brian, was born in 1990.
All three sons are proud graduates of Manchester Academy.
Now retired, Joey and Barbara spend their days enjoying time with their four beloved grandchildren: Leta, Lura, Michael-Rhett, and Emma and their First Baptist Church family.
Whether they're in the stands cheering on a grandchild’s ballgame or attending services at First Baptist Church in Yazoo City, their lives remain filled love and kindness and faith.
As they celebrate 50 years together, Joey and Barbara continue to bring love and kindness to everyone who knows them with their enduring partnership and unwavering commitment to family.
Their golden anniversary is not just a celebration of years, but of a life well-lived together — rooted in family, and grounded in Faith and love.
