The Indians of Yazoo City will have to continue to search for their first win of the year after falling 32-7 to Canton High School.

Freshman running back Cameron Sneed was the bright point for the Indians.

Sneed rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries in the loss.

Panthers bounce back in dominating fashion

After dropping their first game of the season to Germantown, the Panthers of Yazoo County roared back this week with a 52-20 win over Richland.

While the Panthers ended up winning in blowout fashion, the early portion of the game was a battle.

Yazoo City High dropped their second game of the year on Friday night when they fell 44-18 to Humphreys Academy.

The loss brings the Indians’ losing streak to six games dating back to last season.

Senior Artavis Willis did all he could to try and win the game for the Indians.

Penalties, turnovers plague Panthers in loss

Yazoo County committed 15 penalties and had six turnovers against Germantown on Friday night so it should come as no surprise that they fell 28-14.
