Yazoo City High dropped their second game of the year on Friday night when they fell 44-18 to Humphreys Academy.
The loss brings the Indians’ losing streak to six games dating back to last season.
Senior Artavis Willis did all he could to try and win the game for the Indians.
Willis went 5-for-11 through the air for 60 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. He also rushed for 11 yards, recovered a fumble and caused a fumble.
Willis also averaged 35 yards on three punt attempts.
Cameron Sneed had a team-high 65 yards rushing on four tackles.
Roncedrick Weekly added in a touchdown on the ground to go with 21 yards on four carries.
Malik Clark caught two passes for 26 yards and a touchdown.
Rorecoss Willis caught an 8-yard touchdown pass.
Javarious Grady led the Indians with nine tackles, one of which was for a loss.
Torey Haymer put up eight tackles, two of which were for loss.
George Marshall had three tackles for loss in the losing effort.
Yazoo City High will try to right the ship in week number three against Canton High School.
Canton High School is winless on the season after falling most recently to Velma Jackson, who is now being coached by former Yazoo County head man Bernard Euell, by a score of 56-19.
Kickoff at Canton is set for 7 p.m.
