A Holly Bluff man remains behind bars after allegedly ramming his vehicle into the side of a house, later shooting into the home, during Tuesday’s early morning hours.
David Mann, 47, was charged with domestic violence-aggravated assault and shooting into an occupied dwelling after his arrest by the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Department.
Sheriff Jeremy McCoy said deputies received a report of a suspect who rammed his vehicle into the side of a Holly Bluff home.
“The suspect was later identified as David Mann,” McCoy said. “Mann allegedly then shot into the residence while it was occupied.”
McCoy said when deputies arrived on the scene, Mann had fled the area.
“A team of deputies searched the area and located Mann inside of a residence nearby,” McCoy said. “He was also armed. After deputies made entrance into the home, he was taken into custody without incident.”
McCoy said the investigation continues as Mann remains at the Yazoo County Regional Correctional Facility as of press time.
