One person is dead following an early-morning crash on Oct. 12 on Highway 49 in between Myrleville and Castle Chapel Road in Yazoo County.
Yazoo County Coroner Ricky Shivers said Javiya Myles, 20, of Bentonia, died as a result of injuries she received when the car she was driving collided head-on with an SUV in the northbound lane of Highway 49 between Myrleville and Castle Chapel Road.
“Medics with Pafford EMS were able to remove the injured young lady from her car and began treating her,” Shivers said. “Air Care Air Ambulance was requested and flew to the crash site.”
Shivers said Myles succumbed to her injuries before being transferred to the helicopter.
