Yazoo County has recorded a sixth death reported to be related to COVID-19.
On Monday the Mississippi State Department of Health reported the new death along with a total of 310 total confirmed cases in Yazoo County.
Eighteen of those cases and two of the deaths were reported to be in long term care facilities. All of Yazoo’s long term care cases that have been reported are associated with Yazoo Healthcare and Rehabilitation, according to the Mississippi State Department of Health.

An inmate with pre-existing health conditions at the penitentiary died, and the Federal Bureau of Prisons reports two deaths in the Low Facility.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons also reports that 110 inmates and four staff members are considered recovered from COVID-19.
