As the center of Cristobal moves northward today, bands of heavy rainfall are expected.
This will fall over areas that have already received 2 to 4 inches of rain through this morning. With the bands, and additional 4+ inches are likely in focused areas which will result in flash flooding, some of which could be significant.
The heavy rain threat will end across the various parts of area from late afternoon into the evening. As Cristobal moves across the region a severe weather threat remains in place. Some severe storms will be possible today, mainly from mid morning to early evening. The primary threats with any severe storms will be damaging winds gusts and the possibility of tornadoes.Breezy to Windy conditions associated with Cristobal will continue across the area today.
Expect sustained winds between 20 and 30 mph with some gusts as high as 45 mph. The strongest wind gusts could bring down a few trees or large limbs resulting in some power outages.
