A father and son remain behind bars after allegedly firing shots at two juveniles during a chase in Yazoo County this week.
Wade Twiner, 48, and Lane Twiner, 22, were both charged with two counts each of aggravated assault.
Terry Gann, chief investigator with the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Department, said the arrests stem from an incident on Judkins Road.
“Two kids were running four-wheelers on the road where the suspects lived,” Gann said. “The suspects began to chase them in an attempt to stop them. They possibly fired shots at the kids, but it is unclear as to whether they were shooting in the air or towards the kids. The investigation into that is still ongoing.”
Gann said Lane Twiner, who was driving the vehicle, also allegedly struck one of the four-wheelers with his truck during the chase.
No injuries were reported during the incident.
This investigation continues, and there could be additional charges.
