The Yazoo Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution members attended the 134th Continental Congress held in Washington, D C this past summer.
Those attending included Cathryn Cartwright Leal, Yazoo Chapter’s Outstanding Junior and the MSSDAR State’s outstanding Junior, and her mother, Wendy Davis Cartwright, a former Yazoo Chapter member and Chapter Regent. Also attending was Yazoo Chapter member Janet Looney Whittington.
Cathryn was honored to hold the State of Mississippi flag while the 2025 MSSDAR State Regent Cindy Mangum gave her report before Continental Congress.
The theme of the Congress was “Celebrate Stars and Stripes Together.”
