An alleged domestic dispute turned violent over the weekend with the victim last listed in critical condition and a female suspect charged in the crime.
Janice Jones was charged with aggravated domestic violence and tampering with physical evidence after police officers arrested her at the scene of the altercation Saturday.
Detective Nolan Warrington, with the Yazoo City Police Department, said officers received a call in reference to a male victim at Valley View Apartments.
“When officers arrived at the scene, the victim was bleeding and had been stabbed,” Warrington said. “At the time, he was in critical condition and was unresponsive.”
The victim was then airlifted to a Jackson hospital, where he remains in critical condition as of press time.
