A male suspect remains at large, but police investigators have a person of interest involved in a local bank robbery in Yazoo City today.
Around noon, a male subject entered Regions Bank on Main Street, demanding money, according to Detective Nolan Warrington, with the Yazoo City Police Department.
"We are unaware at this time if any weapons were involved, but no injuries were reported," Warrington said. "However, he did leave with an undisclosed amount of money."
The Federal Bureau of Investigations is also assisting the local authorities in this ongoing investigation. No charges or arrests have been made, but investigators do have a person of interest.
More details will appear in the upcoming print edition of The Yazoo Herald.
