Although no injuries were reported, there was quite a disruption at a local restaurant during Monday’s lunch hour.
Two females were involved in a physical altercation inside Ming Buffet and Sushi, following one victim firing gunshots into the air outside the local eatery.
Interim Police Chief Joey Headsaid no arrests have been made as of press time, and investigators continue to search for the identity of the alleged shooter.
“Two females got into an altercation at the door of Ming, with one female firing shots,” Head said. “She was not shooting towards anyone, but there were shots fired.”
Head said the altercation led into the restaurant, where a physical altercation occurred between the two females.
“The victim was questioned, but she declined to press charges and would not share the identity of the female who fired the shots,” Head said. “However, we will be speaking with the business to determine if they would like to press charges. We are also continuing our investigation to identify the other female involved in this case.”
The investigation could lead to charges, including discharging a firearm within the city limits.
