The Gateway MAP Coalition recently met for its quarterly meeting, and there was a spirit of enthusiasm.
Cross Life Church of God of Prophecy, under the leadership of Pastor Matthew Clark, served as the hosts for this high-energy and optimistic gathering. The meeting revolved around the discussion of the following topics: risk factors for the youth of Yazoo County, protective factors for the youth of Yazoo County, major issues the youth of Yazoo County encounter, and strategies we can employ to assist the youth of Yazoo County.
The Gateway MAP Coalition is dedicated to improving community health and well-being by taking action to build resilience and to prevent problems before they occur. The Gateway MAP Coalition‘s work is characterized by a strong commitment to community participation and empowering youth to live drug free lives.
The meeting also emphasized the important of uniting Yazoo County in efforts to educate, empower, and inspire youth.
The next Coalition meeting is scheduled for December 16, 2021 at noon at the Cross Life Church of God of Prophecy. Cross Life Church of God of Prophecy is located at 100 Graball Rd. in Yazoo City.
