President Biden raised the temperature of political rhetoric last week when he used the term “semi-fascism” to label those opposed to his policies. Biden said, “What we’re seeing now is either the beginning or the death knell of an extreme MAGA philosophy. It’s not just Trump, it’s the entire philosophy that underpins the — I’m going to say something, it’s like semi-fascism.” Later, Biden clarified his statement saying, “I respect conservative Republicans. I don't respect these MAGA Republicans.”
MAGA, or Make America Great Again, is not a unique campaign slogan. In fact, presidential candidate Bill Clinton used the same slogan in 1991 and 1992 when he successfully won the White House. Clinton also used the slogan in a radio campaign ad for Hillary Clinton in 2008 when she was running for president. They could have been borrowing the slogan from Ronald Reagan’s 1980 campaign slogan, “Let’s make America great again!”
Biden and the LEFT characterize the MAGA movement as an extreme philosophy. Frankly, MAGA policies and values are about the same as the TEA Party movement that blossomed in early 2009 after President Obama came into office.
Ironically as President Biden laid out his own plan, he essentially promised to fix the problems he’s created so far. “My plan attacks inflation and grows the economy by lowering costs for working families, giving workers well deserved raises, reducing the deficit by historic levels and making big corporations and the very wealthiest Americans pay their fair share.” Yeah. Right.
Biden’s policies created runaway inflation, drove the economy into recession, and raised costs exponentially for working families. Now he says he’s going to fix the problems he created in his first 20 months in office?
The LEFT has always been a major political player. Karl Marx put the tenets of socialism on paper in his Communist Manifesto. Lenin built his platform on those tenets, as did Hitler and Mussolini. In America Presidents Wilson and FDR moved America closer toward becoming a socialist state. What can we say about LBJ’s Great Society?
Socialism says the government is god. The bigger the better. The government will provide. Sadly, even though history records and we can see dozens of examples today of how socialist governments destroy states and nations, many Americans believe the empty promises even over what they witness with their own eyes. Is your paycheck getting larger? Is it keeping up with your gas and grocery bills?
Biden’s political philosophy is more big government all of the time. Biden and the LEFT who worship the god of government are like the astronauts in “2001: Space Odyssey” who fully trusted the computer HAL 9000 who took over the space ship and had no use for the astronauts who lost their positions of being ‘useful idiots.’ It’s the same with big government that has no need for or respect for deplorables, those who cling to guns and religion, or (ironically) those they label ‘fascists.’
As long as Biden is in the White House, Democrats control Congress, and bureaucrats rule the political establishment, we’ll continue to see high inflation, a depressed economy, and a growing crime wave across America. Socialism breeds chaos among the masses to distract and divide us.
President Biden won the White House with the slogan, “Build Back Better.” What has he built back better?
