Chester Curtis Stovall, Jr. (68) went by many names: “Daddy,” “Kiddo,” “Uncle Chester,” and his favorite “Pop.” He attended Manchester Academy in Yazoo City, MS. He furthered his education at Holmes Jr. and then graduated from Mississippi State University with a BS in banking and finance. He worked in his degree field until his retirement, then drove a school bus to occupy his time until his wife, Pat, retired. His favorite things included hunting and fishing on his family land, cooking, and playing softball. He loved teaching Sunday school at First Baptist Fannin and most of all, taking care of his wife, daughters, and grandkids.
Mr. Stovall was born on June 21, 1956, the second child of Chester and Rebecca Stovall. He leaves behind his wife of 47 years, Patricia Smith Stovall; his four daughters, Dr. Lauren (Tony) Lazzaro of Pensacola, FL; Dr. Lindsey (Jamie) Winn of Brandon, MS; Ashley (Josh) Burkis of Starkville, MS; and Amber Smith of Clinton, MS. Six grandchildren, Rivers, and Laken Winn, Anthony and Zane Lazzaro, JT and Hayden Burkis. One niece; Katie (Jonah) Smith Crocker of Brandon, MS.
